So you want to have a website and don’t know where to start.
Or, maybe you are one of thousands who still have a site on Apple’s Mobile Me domain and don’t know what to do with it before Apple’s web hosting goes away in June 2012. Are you in the process of making your website with iWeb, Rapidweaver or one of the many other pieces of web site software and not sure what you need to do once the site is done? It is not that hard but does take several steps to get everything setup and ready to upload your site to a web host so it will “go live” on the internet for everybody to see.
This will be a series of articles, each one covering one aspect of getting everything setup properly. When we are done you will have a live web site on the internet. While each of these articles cover a different facet of the process, you should read the first two articles before buying a Domain Name or choosing a Web Hosting Company. Depending on your specific needs and budget you may choose to buy the Domain Name and host your Domain with the same Company. Or maybe you will decide to buy the Domain Name from one company and then go with a different company to host your Domain. You will understand this better as you do your research that is explained in the first two articles.
